Five Random “Beauty” Products That I Want To Try | Amazon | Friday FIVE

So I had a completely different Friday FIVE blog post scheduled for today but then last night on Face Mask Chat Live, we started talking about random beauty products and how you guys would like to see me review random products. Y’all specifically want me to review them live which sounds like a BLAST but also a little terrifying. I’ll work up to that. *nervous laughter*

Because we had that chat last night, I hopped on Amazon to do a little search for random beauty products and realized that I already had a TON “saved for later.” So I decided to make this week’s Friday FIVE post all about five of those totally random products I want to try but haven’t committed to yet. Then if YOU give me feedback on them (like which one you’d like to see me try or which ones you have already tried yourself) then I could pick some to do live on Thursday nights for Face Mask Chat LIVE! Wouldn’t that be fun?! I think so. So let’s start from the top… the tippy top that is – the head!

1. Hair Scalp Massager 
Current Price: $5.99

From my understanding, this brush has silicone bristles and can be used on wet or dry hair, but I feel like you should only use it on wet hair. It’s more of a scalp massager than a brush. It also says it’s suitable for use on women, men and pets so… there’s that. It’s currently only $5.99 and if it helps with dandruff and scalp psoriasis – I’m willing to make that investment!

2. Hair Feel Finishing Stick

Current Price: $7.98

So the listing shows the back of the girls head with her hair pulled up and her hair looks really good. I always struggle with my fly aways and baby hairs at the nape of my neck looking CRAZY when I wear my hair up, so this products sounds amazing. It says it’s non greasy and it’s more of a “wax stick.” I’m very curious to know if this works and if it holds well for hours.

3. Jade Roller (multi-pack)

Current Price : $13.49

This specific listing has more than just a jade roller. It has 2 smooth, double ended jade rollers, 2 rigid jade rollers and 2 Gua Sha scraping tools. I have ZERO clue what the benefits of jade are but I have heard that if you chill these rollers and then roll them in specific directions on your skin, it helps with anti-aging and puffiness.

4. Derma Roller Microneedling Tool

Current Price: $5.99

It is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a small hand held roller with lots of teeny tiny needles that you rolls across your face. Scared? They say not to be but idk, they are needles bro. Just kidding. Sorta. *starts sweating* They say it helps exfoliate your skin and unclog your pores thus making it easier for your skin to soak up the nutrients in your skin products (moisturizers, toners, masks, etc.)

5. Foot Peel Mask (2 pack)

Current Price: $14.99

I have almost bought these SO MANY TIMES but then I chicken out. So from my understanding, they are like these plastic socks that you put on each foot. You let them sit for awhile and then when you take them off, you wash your feet and just wait. Then over the course of the next few days, the dead skin on your feet starts to peel off in big pieces.  I think the waiting part is what scares me BUT I really want to try them because if they work MY FEET WILL THANK ME!

My Recent Walmart + Target Finds| Wardrobe Wednesday | Plus Size Modest Fashion On A Budget

It is so seldom that I go out and actually go shopping for clothes. It just hasn’t been very high on the priority list lately, ya know. Which I know that might sound weird coming from someone who shares a lot of stuff about modest fashion, trends, etc. but I’m not out here buying everything. I’m pretty selective when it comes to what I actually buy, but I am a pretty good “window shopper.” So when I find great deals, sales, dupes, trends, etc.; I share them with all of you! Now, do I expect all of you to go buy every item I promote or share? A B S O L U T E L Y  N O T. In fact, please don’t. Watch your budget, folks. Don’t blow all your money on clothes. Be a good steward of your finances. These are important things!

One thing to keep in mind too is that I’m not promoting products just for you. Somethings I share, you won’t like but someone else will and thats great! Buy the things you love (within reason of course) and let others buy what they love. Surprisingly enough, I have more than just one person reading my blog so there is enough things to go around for everyone! *wink + smirk*

*Personal Review: Thin elastic waist band is comfortable. Legging hugs legs and keeps it shape which is a personal requirement of mine. I don’t want my leggings to “puddle” at my ankles. I want them to be form fitting since I wear them under skirts and dresses and these do just that without being too tight.

I just bought this dress and I LOVE IT! I will say the color depicted online is NOT the actual color of the dress it is a more rich, jewel tone TEAL. This dress is also cross-seasonal which you all know is my jam! I can wear it as in in the warmer months and through on a cardigan or ruana in the colder months.

Guys! I squealed when I found this gem at Target. It is such a staple and sometimes it is just down right DIFFICULT to find good, staple pieces in plus sizes. So when I find them, I buy them. Period!

The best part about finding these deals, is the fact that I spent under $80.00 for all of them! If I could insert an emoji here, it would be the heart eyes or the shocked, wide eyes – open mouth one. It’s Wednesday – Happy Hump Day! I’ve put together a list of some of the accessories that I’ve had my eye on this Fall season from Shein.com. If you haven’t heard of Shein, here’s a little run down. Shein is a legitimate online retailer that has a huge selection of fast fashion from China. A word of caution, if you purchase clothing from Shein – check the actual measurements! Don’t just purchase blouses, dresses, skirts, etc, based on the size label. Not all sizes are created equal on this site! Wardrobe Wednesday | Fall 2019 Fashion Trends | Torrid Collection

It’s officially September y’all and I personally feel like summer flew by! I can’t believe there is just 3 more weeks left. C-R-A-Z-Y. Out of curiosity, have you noticed the September split on social media right now? You have one group of people who are decorating for Fall, wearing chunky sweaters and sipping on pumpkin spice lattes while another group of people are screaming “It’s still summer y’all!” and running to the pool. It’s hilarious! I think I fall into both categories. I am planning out my fall decor and activities but I’m still wearing sun dresses and NOT drinking “fall favorites” from Starbucks. #Balanced

Wardrobe Wednesday |#OOTD | Trending: Leopard Print

For many, leopard print never goes out of style. It isn’t like the zebra print craze of 2005, the giraffe print craze of 2008 or the snakeskin craze of… well, today. Leopard print is timeless and free of confinement. You can wear it in the spring and summer or wear it in the fall and winter. You can dress it up or dress it down and it’s just easy to wear!

When I spotted this dress on the clearance rack at Target (IN MY SIZE!) I knew I had to have it. It’s super light-weight which is perfect for summer but it can easily be paired with a black sweater, leggings and boots to make it winter approved. Funny thing: A friend saw this dress on my Instagram stories after I bought it and was like “I own this dress and you are going to love it! I wear it at least once every week.” And boy, she wasn’t kidding! It has a stretchy, defining waist line with an optional tie belt and it has functioning buttons down the front that DON’T BULGE when you wear it! (All my plus size friends know what a win that is- amirite?!)

Now, I have good news and bad news. Bad News: Target has clearanced this dress in all of their stores and the last time I checked – you couldn’t get it online. *sad face* Good News: It’s “Wardrobe Wednesday” and I have your back! Plus Size Modest Fashion | #OOTD | January 14th

Happy New Year! I am back and with some plus size, modest, outfit inspiration. You asked for more posts like this and now you have it! (Ask and you shall receive 😉 )

Disclaimer: One thing I would like you to keep in mind is that I shop a LOT of sales. What this means is that unless a brand or shop is directly sending me an item to promote for them, many of these things might not be available anymore. Plus Size Striped Top // This black and white striped top is (believe it or not) from Walmart! I know – I could hardly believe it myself. It has been a lifetime since I have shopped their clothing section (especially as a plus size gal) because their selection in my size was always “old-lady-ish” if I can say that. But they have really upped their game lately!

Green Utility-Like Vest // Another surprising find from a similar department store. Any guesses? MEIJER. Their selection of extended sizes have drastically improved over the last 10 years.

Infinity Scarf // Ok. Shout out to one of my best friends for this one! She got this scarf for me for my birthday just last month and I LOVE it. Apparently, everyone else did too because Altar’d State is currently sold out BUT they have another one in burgundy that would look super cute in this mash up too!

Classic Black Skirt // We all need a little black skirt and a little black dress in out closet! This skirt is one of my favorites and it’s probably 3 years old. But I also love Lane Bryant’s Pencil skirts!

Link: They have a couple different kinds at different lengths (Knee or Midi). The one I linked here is a pencil skirt that hits just below the knee and is $59.95. (*VIP Tip – I size up in this skirt because of my body shape and because I personally don’t want it to fit too tight. If you’re concerned about fit, they sell this style in store most of the time and you could go try it on! Or order it and have it shipped to the store FOR FREE. Then you can try it on there and if you don’t like it, you can return it right then!)

Celeste Side Gore Bootie // My friend. Get these boots! DO yourself a HUGE favor and get these boots! They go with everything, are unbelievably comfortable and they come in black and brown. OH! And they are on sale right now for $24.99!

Link: Right here. David got these boots for me for Christmas (HE picked them out!) and they are amazing! (*VIP Tip – Avenue is a great place to buy boots. Especially if you have wide calves (me!) or wide feet (me!) or if you have ever broken your foot by falling down a flight of stairs and it never properly healed and your right foot is a little misshapen. (also me!) )
